These two antique hand-carved mirrors were completely restored and gilded, with replacement sections made to match the originals. They have now been returned to their traditional places within a private country house.
This [incomplete at the time] display, was of a full size wedding dress, together with a collection of sequential photos of the day, accompanied by the bride’s fashion jewellery and garter (mounted on a silk pillar at the rear), bridal shoes, a reproduction bouquet of flowers – and even a duplicated wedding ring!
The client for these two pieces was more than serious about ‘home security’, and clearly suffered nightmares after watching the film “Shaun of the Dead”! (The first item is a genuine AK47 that had been de-commissioned).
