Each member has particular knowledge, with skills that are interrelated. As such, these can be readily transferred to ensure continuity.

Alan F Holmes - Proprietor

For over 45 years, Mr. Holmes has been at the forefront of design and innovation with regard to the presentation of art and wall décor, having contributed to several books on the subject, and undertaken seminars and lecture tours across the world.

A number of creative framing techniques and use of three-dimensional effects that have now become relatively common-place, were pioneered by Mr. Holmes in the early 1980’s.

His original ‘invention’ of the “Mastermount Decoration System” resulted in sales to 33 countries worldwide.

Michael Burgess - Master Framer

We are fortunate to have engaged Michael in 2024, who has worked creatively in the art business for many years. During this time, he has also achieved a BA (Hons.) Degree in Fine Art.  Such status befitting his current role in assessing and addressing any, and all picture framing and artifact presentation requirements. Consequently, apart from being well versed in the best use of specialised framing equipment, he is equally at home using his dedicated artistic flair to repair and restore items as may prove necessary. His formal qualifications and enviable artistic skills allow all manner of work to be finished to exceptionally high standards.

Huma Syeda - Sales & Office Manager

Huma joined us in 2021 and has brought her exceptional flair and ideas to assist customers with their choices in bringing to life pictures, paintings and memorabilia collections, in ways that are visually appropriate for both the artwork and the owner’s requirements.

Her professionalism and outstanding attention to detail is undoubtedly a great asset to our business and equally so to the customer.

Patricia Barr - General Administrator

Patricia is a valuable addition to our team. Her previous experience as a retail chain administrator proves to be an asset in the efficient running of operations. She is responsible for day to day office administration and general organisation. She is also involved in ‘promotional’ work as required. Such practical duties adding considerably to a wider understanding of everything involved in this specialised business.

Abi Brookes - Specialist Sales Assistant

Abi has been with the business for over 12 years and is now concentrating her (part-time) efforts on specific work requiring a high level of insight into the requisite details of ‘Three-Dimensional’ artwork presentation.

Over the years, many unique, unusual and admirable results have been achieved through her input.
